Cannibalismo e problemi affini

Warren Ellis scrive sull'ultimo numero di Wired UK, parlando di cannibalismo e di chiesa:

The sacrament of one of our more popular cults is based upon the concept of transubstantiation: that the piece of bread that the priest pops in your mouth (and if you're lucky that's all he'll pop in your mouth) transforms into the flesh of the son of God.

Tralasciando per un momento la storiella del cannibalismo (di cui, è evidente, siamo partecipi tutti noi sotto forma di ipocrisia e menefreghismo per il prossimo - ma questa è un'altra storia), l'ironia è tale da avermi fatto sbarrare gli occhi per qualche istante.
